Along the long, narrow stretch of Coronado’s Silver Strand, the Pacific unfolds in steady, rolling sets, carrying the easy rhythm of San Diego surf culture. This slender isthmus, linking Coronado Island to Imperial Beach, is known for its uninterrupted shoreline and shifting moods of light and tide, where ocean and bay nearly meet. In silhouette, a lone surfer moves toward the water, board in hand, following the pull of the waves as they break cleanly along the coast.
